With underinflated tires eating up gas, where is the Tweel?
Some 3.56 million gallons of gas are wasted each day because of incorrectly-inflated tires according to the U.S. Department of Energy or $14.2 million in gas a day at $4/gal. In 2004, Michelin shocked the world with a revolutionary airless tire technology that could change transportation as we know it, the Tweel. Four years later, where’s Tweel?
Bush’s laws will be scrutinized if I become president, Obama
If elected president, Democratic White House hopeful Barack Obama said one of the first things he wants to do is ensure the constitutionality of all the laws and executive orders passed while Republican President George W. Bush has been in office.
Deputies Search for Armed Burglars… in my backyard!
As I was sitting in my home office around 1:30 this morning, a car screamed past my window seconds before I heard it slam into my neighbors’ cars. When I saw the police cars fly past at about the same time, I knew this was no ordinary late night car crash.

How G. W. Bush made one Republican into an Obama supporter
I was a little shocked to find out about a less mentioned problem of the Bush administration - complete and total financial mismanagement. The kind of mismanagement that speaks to a complete lack of coherent planning, restraint, or responsibility.

Swimmer with Just One Leg Qualifies for the Olympics
South African amputee Du Toit made Beijing by finishing fourth in Sunday’s 10km world championships in Seville. Britons Cassandra Patten and Keri-Anne Payne also qualified for the open water events at the Olympics.
Grumpicus commented on Swimmer with Just One Leg Qualifies for the Olympics
I’ll agree with your first paragraph but the second is misleading.
1) It wasn’t the IOC, but the IAAF that was trying to keep Pistorius out of Beijing.
2) The argument had very little to due with the amputation itself and was completely about the technology of his prosthetics and whether or not they actually gave him an advantage.
More info here: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/05/15/sports/otherspor …
3) “In a unanimous ruling, the Court of Arbitration for Sport announced [today] that double-amputee sprinter Oscar Pistorius will have a chance to represent South Africa at the Beijing Olympics this summer.”

Billions of electronic-eating ‘crazy ants’ invade Texas
It sounds like the plot of a farfetched science fiction movie. Unfortunately for the residents of Texas, it is very much a reality: billions of tiny reddish-brown ants have arrived onshore from a cargo ship and are hell-bent on eating anything electronic.
