The Grand Experiment

So here we go with the first post on the ASPNetWebLog-powered site. Thanks again to Scott Watermasysk for setting me up.

As an ASP.OLD developer who wants needs an excuse to play with ASP.NET code that does more than just print out “Hello World”, I’m looking forward to someday moving this weblog over to a platform what can be both entertaining and educational. Is ASPNetWebLog that platform? We shall see.

Eventually, I hope to get source code of some sort (i.e. of the eventual platform of choice - Bryan Daneman has an interesting project going as well) installed over at noble1.com so that I can customize and tweak to my heart’s content but for now, we’re just going to ponder things from the interface point of view.

Since my only basis for comparison to data is Userland Radio, I suspect that most of my initial comments will be related to comparing and contrasting the two products. I’m not talking about a concerted, in-depth effort to do a review - just some comments about what I notice. Perhaps they’ll be of value to someone.
